Today is my dad’s birthday. He would have been 99, a hard thing to wrap my head around since he died at the age of 68! Here he is in his happy place, out in the field. He grew up on the family tobacco farm, much like this one. And he literally had fields in his blood–his mom was Alma Fields Hinson.
