This was going to be a post about remembering what joy felt like, and then as I chose the pictures, I was afraid that it was becoming a post of sadness for all the activities we cannot do right now, in the time of Coronavirus. Joy is so dependent on freedom. I choose, however, to delay doing some of the things that bring me joy so that my actions do not cost someone their life or health. Yep, I’m free to choose. But the existential implications sometimes make my head explode.
Memories are a surrogate for the things we want to do but can’t do temporarily. I hope viewing these moments from my life captured on Kodachrome inspire some joyful memories of your own.
